Ingredients

  • 1 Pound Small Shrimp peeled and deveined
  • 2 Tablespoons Avocado Oil
  • ¼ teaspoon Garlic Powder
  • 1 teaspoon Paprika
  • ½ teaspoon Salt
  • ¼ teaspoon Black Pepper
  • Lemon Wedges for serving

Instructions

  • Preheat the air fryer to 400°Fahrenheit (200°C) and gather the shrimp, avocado oil, and seasonings so everything is ready to go.
  • Stir avocado oil, paprika, garlic granules, salt, and cracked pepper together until fully combined and smooth.
  • Toss the shrimp in the seasoning until evenly coated, then let them rest for about 10 minutes to absorb the flavor.
  • Arrange shrimp in a single layer in the air fryer basket and cook for 5–6 minutes, flipping halfway. Finish with parsley and a squeeze of lemon before serving.

Notes

  • Don’t overcrowd the air fryer basket; popcorn shrimp need space, or it won’t get crispy. Work in batches so every piece fries evenly instead of steaming.
  • Boost the flavor by spraying a light coat of oil before you air fry; it helps frozen popcorn shrimp brown better. Add a pinch of seasoning right after cooking so it sticks while the shrimp is hot.
  • If you want extra crunch, toss the popcorn shrimp with a tiny bit of cornstarch before cooking. It gives the coating a firmer bite without making the prep time complicated.
  • Serve the shrimp with something that actually adds contrast, such as cocktail sauce, spicy mayo, or a squeeze of lemon. Weak dips make the shrimp bland, so choose something with punch to balance the fry.
